Toxic Waste | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Credits and Sources
What is toxic waste?

Where does it come from?

Toxic waste is any material that is harmful to the environment.  It can be in any form of solid, liquid or gas.  It is usually man-made and is the result of some industrial process.  Once it is released, it contaminates everything and can do severe damage to the environment.  It can be poisinous gas, smoke, or mocroscpoic particles; or it can take on many other forms.  It is an incredible danger because it can be very hard to get rid of once it is in the ecosystem, it can work itself into the food chain, water cycle, etc.
Toxic waste can come from many different sources, usually it comes from factories and refineries that work with petrochemicals-oils, plastics, etc.
