How can toxic waste be handled?

Most oil waste can be incinerated.  While this method does not completely eliminate toxins, it greatly reduces toxic chemicals and is relatively cheap.

In the case of oil spills, scientists have discovered bacteria that will, over time, "eat" the oil.  There are also chemicals that can neutralize other toxic chemicals.
